We arrived in Edinburgh on Thursday night, and spent the rest of the evening at the pub attached to our hostel. We stayed at St. Christopher's Inn, a short walk from the train station and right in the middle of town. I would highly recommend staying there if you get the chance!
On Friday, we started our day at Edinburgh Castle. It was a short walk from the hostel with incredible views. We walked around the castle for a couple hours and looked through some of its galleries. Then we had lunch and spent the afternoon exploring the Royal Mile (the main street in Edinburgh).
